This month, I want to highlight one very special young lady that stays accountable, stays ready to take on any new challenge, and is just one of the nicest, most thoughtful kids around. This athlete is, of course, Reese.
When this girl isn't flying over 12 feet in the air at pole vault meets or zooming over hurdles around the track, you can find her baking treats for the family or maybe even cleaning her little brother's room. She has big goals and knows she has to get the grades, train hard, recover and eat well to make sure she is always moving closer to achieving her goals. I believe she is the first 15 year old I’ve met that actually meal preps for her lunches. I mean actually cooking food, like chicken, rice and veggies to prepare for the week ahead, not just tossing a couple of protein bars and chips into a bag as you run out the door. When it comes to commitment and accountability, look no further. This next track season should be a fun one. Keep up the great work girl!
